The Solar Eclipse

While HAL repositions away from warmer climates in the summer (except for the Mediterranean… or Alaska recently with the heatwave EVERYONE is having) Costa has ships in Asia right now, and the Costa Classica was there for the eclipse.

Here’s some info about the eclipse from Costa’s facebook page:
The Costa Classica solar eclipse cruise departed on July 17, 2009 from Beijing and took guests on an exclusive journey to witness the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century. The eclipse lasted a maximum of 6 minutes and 39 seconds and will not be surpassed in length of time until June 2132.
