April 24 – Part 7 – Dinner in the Pinnacle Grill and Dancing/Cocktails in the Crow’s Nest

No pictures of this portion of the cruise, but a few things of note:
This was my first time onboard since the Pinnacle Grill menu was revised across the fleet and the food was as fantastic as ever. Our wine steward Joseph, is a gentleman that I previously met on a Westerdam cruise. (He collects shot glasses, so if you happen to cross paths and you enjoy the service he provides, I’m sure he’d appreciate any additions to the collection!)

Order was as follows:
Amuse Bouche was a Nori-wrapped piece of salmon with a tamarind sauce
Crab Cake Appetizer
Pinnacle Cut Filet Mignon with Sundried Tomato Steak Sauce
Shoestring potatoes and asparagus (I tried a friend’s sauteed onions and these will be an addition moving forward. They were incredible!
This was complimented with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State
Chocolate Volcano Cake

Others at our table (there were 6 of us) also enjoyed:
Bone-in Ribeye with Bernaise Sauce
Land & Sea
Not So Baked Alaska (flambe presentation at the table)

After a leisurely dinner it was up to the Crow’s Nest for a night of (nearly) standing room only cocktails and dancing. DJ Drew played a VERY wide assortment of music that pleased everyone, and some of the specialty drink highlights of the night were:
HAL’s Signature Wang Wang (nothing else like it anywhere)
Cosmo Cubana
Coral Drop

The events in the Crow’s Nest went til about 2:30am.

Bought the old boy the Signature Cocktail card, I think he’ll enjoy. Can hardly wait to see the WangWang in person!
